I saw a news piece las year that talked about American car makers selling flex fuel cars in South America.  I think it's a travesty that U.S. citizens are forced to stay with outmoded vehicles when it's obvious that we could be getting better products.

It's a slap in the face.

I know GM sells trucks and SUVs that have flex fuel technology. They also offer some vehicles with variable valve timing.

It's time that Americans join together and demand the technology solutions that will make us less reliant on carbon based fuels.  Thank you to those who made and contribute to this site.  Discussions like these are needed.

Thanks for the support MrMega! I was hoping to stir some creativity and promote a little self control. We need members like you to stop by and give your two cents if we're going to get this forum to take off. We know we can't trust the government, big oil, or most automakers to handle this environmental/economic crisis.

I agree with all the above I like to call this the "Quirt riot" it's WE THE PEOPLE quietly making changes that the gov. won't do since it is not in big business intrest. I'm using info learned from www.hho4me.info it works and is easy/ fuel formulas, fuel heaters., o2 extenders, pcv filter. better plugs great books highly recommed

I would love to have more flex fuel based technology. I know there are a few cars out there with them here in the states, but heck I can't really afford a new car. I am hoping the technology will be more accesible to us shortly though. It would make me really consider getting a new car sooner then I had planned. Especially if it can help make a dent in gas needs.
