Would you sell a large car to buy a smaller one that is more gas efficient?  I think personally that I would.  I already have a smallish car, but if it saves the money on gas then it has to be worth it.  The only problem would be if you have a large family.  Has anyone actually sold a large car for a small car to save on gas?

I haven't, but I have a large family and if I got a smaller car, we would have to take 2 cars.  Not much logic in that.  I did buy a car within the last year and a half.  I made sure I got a great MPG for a bigger car.

My son went to Europe 2 summers ago.  He said gas prices there have been high for a while and the cars are all much smaller than ours.  I wonder what they do with all their kids if they have big families.

I have a large family so we need to big van.  I have 5 girls and 4 live at home.  I drive them to 3 different schools every day.  Thankfully they are close by.

In the Telegraph 26th May it said that Americans have fallen out of love with the gas guzzler.   Apparently a tank of petrol now costs $100 for a big SUV.  It is sheer madness the amount of money gas now costs and it is rising all the time.  Yet still the government refuse to look at alternative ways of running a car.  I suppose it is unfortunate if you need a bigger car, but there is nothing to be done.
