I'm here in Indiana. I was amazed to see that gas prices have reached $3.85 per gallon for regular unleaded. What gives? Is there any end in sight or at least a decent pause for us to catch a break? I've been working hard to improve the gas mileage in my 2005 Xterra but this is getting crazy.
I really can't afford to buy another car right now, but at the same time I can't afford to drive the one I've got much besides back and forth to work.
I've been keeping my rpm's under 2,000 at all times which has helped a lot. I just replaced my K&N air filter and cleaned my fuel injectors. I'm about ready to try those low resistance tires. I'm about out of ideas. My SUV has lost so much value that I can't even trade it in for a new base model Honda civic without paying a few thousand dollars to the dealer and the government. I'm just venting...
